Ignorance

This picture was done for a religion assignment and I chose to upload it because our course is Religion and the Media. In this assignment we had to use some form of social media and I chose to use DA because I prefer this to facebook or a blog. This picture is meant to represent the topic I chose. I chose less people believing in God or a Religion and the church making a comeback by using social media. The skeletal creature represents the old ways in which the church used to get believers, some of this included: If you did something bad or sinful God could forgive you and family giving influence to how you’re raised and what you’d believe in, which is failing to capture people’s attention anymore. The young girl (who I hoped to portray as trendy) represents today’s youth with all the tech, brands (like the headphones) and fashion. Her wings represent her faith and how it’s starting to fail and fall apart. The digital stuff and apps (including facebook and twitter) in front of her show religion and the church and how their starting to try and connect with today’s youth and gain more believers. I feel really happy with this picture because it took me a lot of time and pondering.
